I’m a coffee lover and butterscotch coffee sounded like a fabulous combination one day and how this recipe was born!

When we had a blast of cold weather here in Dallas, it got me craving a warm fall drink, so I came up with this Butterscotch Caramel Coffee Recipe with some items I had in my kitchen.

I spiked my cup of coffee withbutterscotch schnapps and itturned out so tasty that it was hard not to have severalcups!

Luckily, I kept mywill power though and stuck tomy low carb diet by only having one! A girl has to have a fewsweet treats here and there to make life worth living right? I’m all about rewards and since I have lost over 35 pounds… I deserved one. Yay!

  • 1 large cup of coffee
  • ground cinnamon
  • butterscotch schnapps or butterscotch syrup
  • heavy whipping cream or half and half
  • caramel sauce and a bit extra for drizzling on top
  • whipped cream

For an alcohol free version, substitute the butterscotch schnapps with butterscotch syrup.

  • Brew the coffee and pour into a mug.

  • Add 1pinch of cinnamon, butterscotch schnapps, cream, and caramel sauce and stir.

  • Add whipped cream on the top, drizzle with caramel sauce and add a pinch of cinnamon before serving.

Notes

*For an alcohol freeversion, substitute butterscotch syrup for thebutterscotch schnapps.

Leave out the cream if you prefer your coffee dark and less sweet.
